John is a native of Washburn, TN, located in Grainger County, TN. He graduated from Washburn high school in 2010. He attended Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College before finishing his bachelor's degree at Walter's State Community College. John's love for sports, and his beloved Volunteers led him to create the All Vol Call in Show in August of 2017. Since the formation of the show, John has furthered his sports journalism career, becoming Sports Editor for multiple publications throughout East Tennessee and Southeastern Kentucky. He is currently the Sports Editor for the Mountain Advocate in Barbourville, KY, nestled just behind enemy lines in Big Blue Country. John is a member of the Football Writers Association of America, the United States Basketball Writer's Association, the Tennessee Press Association, and the Kentucky Press Association. The only thing he loves more than his Vols, is his family. His children Mason, Alexandria, and Lincoln are his greatest accomplishment, and most valued treasure.
